Ive just created a seperate iPhone Page, to make this a little easyer here

I received my 8GB Apple iPhone around the 20/04/2008, when it went reduced from £269 to £169. Since they where selling stock off at O2, and Carephone Warehouse. Everybody was expecting it due to the imenate arrival of the 3G iPhone, but nothing came up after the reduced price. Apart from many O2 stores running out of stock of the 8GB, as well as Carephone Warehouse selling out. I waited about half a week, after the annoucment, and had a play with my brothers 16GB one. I was impressed and since it had been reduced in price, i didnt really need to think any longer and purchased my own 8GB, specially since the 16GB didnt come down in price at all. It didnt take long, say about less then 2 weeks for the 8GB to sell out everywhere since the price came down from £269 to £169. The 16GB stayed on strong, untill just about a week or so before the 3G iPhone was annouced then the 16GB was sold out and now you carnt get a old style v1 iPhone anywhere in the UK and i think Europe now. Unless you buy a secound hand one or go to ebay. Theres a little more about my hype further down, which i just noticed that i put lol!! :P

Around the 2/6/2008 i went with the Online simplicity 25, since i received a email about a week before saying i could now uprgade to a new handset, stay with my current contract and receive £100, or move to simplicity which i did when i talked to the guy about upgradeing to the new 3G iPhone, which he didnt have a clue when it was comeing out. So now im on the Simplicity paying £25 a month for 600 mins, 1000 txts, and getting the Unlimited Web Bolt-On. Which compared to my £40+£.7.50 for the Web Bolt-on for the same txts and minutes im chuffed lol. But now i have to wait till the 11 july for the new 3G iPhone to come out, and i gotta say the packages are kinda crap really. Since you only get 500 txts no matter which package you go with, which for me i do sometimes go over so i would need to pay £7.50 extra for the unlimited txts a month, but the minutes arent to bad. To be fair i would be paying less then i did before since i was paying £40+£7.50 where now i would get the unlimited downloads free, but the contract is longer lol. But what i carnt understand is why i have unlimited landline calls, unlimited o2 to o2 calls on my plan still?!? I had them on before when i was paying £40+ and i still do now. At least with the simplicity i still have the ITS reduced roaming rates, and free voicemail. But what i would mind is the £35 for 18 months with the 600 minutes, and 500 txts on the 3G iPhone with a free unlimited txts since i still have the unlimited o2 to o2 calls, and unlimited landline calls for some reason. I know the £30 is cheaper, but thats only 75 minutes and 125 txts, which is easy to use lol.

I have had my O2 Mobile Contract Phone for a while now, when i first had the N73 last year for around a year, then i got my N95 least year around July. I know around July because when i check the O2 the website these days, it says my contract ends the 22nd July this year lol.

The only major thing that bugs me with O2 is that the addons allways change, or they use to every couple of months. And since i spent loads of money going on the internet on my phone during work hours or breaks, it cost me a fortune. But every couple of months it changed upto the best one they have now which is £7.50 for a unlimited downloads which is what T-Mobile have been doing for ages, which really bugged me when i was paying out before. For something like a £1 1mb which was daft .

24/08/2007:

Browsing 2MB gives you 2MB of data for £3
Browsing 4MB gives you 4MB of data for £5
Browsing 20MB gives you 20MB of data for £10

Which did help with my consuming amount of webpages browsed a month, but i still went over. Untill they started doing the 200MB a month later on which was £15 or £20. Which did help me out untill i realised you could nock it down to £7.50 for a certain amount in the 200MB range. Untill now where you get the unlimited downloads for £7.50, but they do put a catch on it. It has to be within reason, i think its people who connect it upto there computers or try to use it like a normal internet connection for downloads. Which to be fair you shouldnt do, unless its downloading paid music or videos. Since they will notice anyway, no matter what you say lol.

21/4/8 I orderd the iPhone lol!!! Since it went down from £269, to £169 last week its been a real ponder if i should get it, or wait it out for the Nokia touchscreen, the Tube 5800 or something lol. But since nothing out at the moment has really caught my eye. Its really hard to say :/ even though the phones below like the LG Viewty, iPhone, and N95 8GB are out, there not really big busting phones to be fair. The more powerfull Nokia touchscreens with higher megapixel cameras, and proper touchscreen interfaces will be good. But whats due for the Nokia Tube just sounds so weak to be fair, even though it will have GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera, and the feedback when you touch the screen. It still doesnt seem like a iphone better, it needs the true multi touchscreen control to beat the phone lol.

I did notice on my call plan, on O2 when i was looking at the minutes i had left, that on my extras i had Unlimited O2 to O2 calls for free, and Unlimited Landline Calls, while my Unlimited Web Bolt on was being charged. So i havent a clue why i have those for free?!? I would prefer the web bolton for free and unlimited txts lol!! My O2 – my tariff and service.pdf O2 – my monthly extras.pdf

My O2 Plans and Future Possiable Plans:

I am currrently looking at the N95 8GB, iPhone and the LG Viewty, for future mobile phones. The only problem with the Viewty is the zoom function which you use for the 5 megapixel camera and webpages is on the camera lense, which is daft really. It looks ok as a phone, but seems to have lots of issues as a camera, even though thats what LG intended for it, it was supost to be a camera first, then a phone later. I admit that my friend Mike says its kinda crap, but my cousin Lynsey likes it. It does seem more like a girls phone, but then the Prada which was released first is one heck of a girls phone, since its PRADA for hecks sake lol. But Laras friend Ben had it, and it looked ok really. But with it not being a symbian phone, i wouldnt be use to it, since i like all the addon appicaltions you get with a symbian nokia phone lol. I was thinking of getting the iPhone but your stuck to a 18 month contract, the minutes are crap still, even though they are better then what they where before when the iPhone first came out. But the 2 megapixel camera is still a pain really, why didnt they make it a 3 megapixel one i havent a clue?!? Then theres the N95 8GB, but since i have a 8GB memory card in my N95 theres no real point in upgradeing, apart from the 0.2 screen size increase, and the system ram update thats inside, since its got double the ram inside the new one, and the memory is built in, not on a memory card. But it still doesnt sway me at all, i would rather stick with what ive got really lol.

At the moment though, my N95/Online 40 plan has the £7.50 Unlimited Web Bolt On, instead of the older/oldest 4MB browse download £5 which really made my monthly costs sky rocket, since it was nothing compared to what it is now.
