10/7/2010: I learned the “Dead Mans Lift” (Sam), where you stand near the bar, with your feet apart, and lower yourself so you dont arc your back, you keep it straight, its easyer to keep looking straight so you know your doing the proper form, or have a mirror to your left to check! Doing it correctly means your legs should be bending at the knee, and your arms straight.
I know it sounds daft, but im just trying to figure out as much as possiable, because im still thinking this wont last more then 6 months. Where i do the 5 months, and reduce the 6 month to £42. Im hopeing this works, but im just trying to hopefully make some new friends, and learn a few things i didnt know about.
13/07/2010: I have noticed that David Lloyds uses Life Fitness, TechnoGym equipment. The Life Fitness being the Treadmills, Cross Trainers, Exercise Bikes, Rowers which i am sure that Total Fitness uses as well. I never used Total Fitness weight lifting equipment, but i am slowly useing David Lloyds TechnoGym weight lifting equipment.
I am courise as to what Power Plate is? I know its a brand that produces a certain type of Gym Equipment, its what it does that makes me intregued. “It works by transferring vibrations to selected muscles around your body, making them contract and helping them to stretch, tone and strengthen. The vibrations make the effect of your exercise much greater, so you can have a full workout in a fraction of the time. It’s the low-impact way to maximise your fitness in the gym, fast” so effectively giving you a “60 minute whole body gym workout in just 15 minutes“.
Repetitions/Sets
All exercises: For the first 4/6 sessions work them one at the time, 3 sets each, starting from 20 reps and increasing by 4 reps each time you practice. Rest in between sets no longer than 30/45 sec, in between exercises rest for 60/90 sec. When you are well familiar with them, you can put them in a circuit to add some variety and increase your HR (heart rate); so you will end up working three big sets (basically no rest in between exercises, or as little as you can) with at least 40/50 reps each! Do you want to add more fun? Start skipping in the active recovery.
Other Gyms:
QuickGym £14.99 pm, Fit24 £22 pm (No matter what Kirky says, there website says £22 not £10 lol), Total Fitness £29.99 pm,
Please Note: I dont know how long the contracts for these Gyms are, or how much notice you need to give in advance before you can leave. Some Gyms are a Months notice, others can be 3 Months or more!
